Today I received a tabletop football board game in the mail called The College Game. I always wanted to replay a season with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish,my favorite college football team,and now I got my chance. In my 2006 Notre Dame replay,I will replay every game the Irish played in,from the opening game of the season at Georgia Tech all the way to the final regular season game against USC. Can Brady Quinn put up better numbers in this replay than in real life? Is Darius Walker just as good with a few rolls of the dice as he was on the field? Can the Weis Guys finally bring a 12th National Championship to Touchdown Jesus? Well,my friend across Notre Dame Nation,we will all find out together. And as a bonus,I will also put the spotlight a player I created,his name is Philip Fitzpatrick,who is a defensive tackle for the team and is expected to be one of the best tight ends in all of college football. It's going to be a great project,and I have more tabletop sports board game replays that I will be replaying that I will blog about in the days to come. The season (and the road to the BCS championship in Arizona) begins September 2,2006 in Atlanta against Georgia Tech,and all I have to say is:Play like a champion today! Go Irish!
